What is aluminium composite?

Aluminium composite panel is made from two thin sheets of aluminium bonded to a solid plastic core. The result is a board that’s rigid, flat and strong, yet much lighter than solid metal. You may have heard it called Dibond, which is a well-known trade name for this type of panel.

Because the surface is so smooth and flat, it takes printed and cut vinyl well, giving a crisp, professional finish that suits permanent signs.

Indoor or outdoor?

Aluminium composite is made for outdoor use. It stands up to the Welsh weather well, won’t rot or warp like wood, and stays flat over time. It also looks smart indoors, so it’s a good option if you’d like matching signs inside and out.

Finishes and options

Panels are usually supplied with a white or coloured face, and your design is added with our in-house printed or cut vinyl. You can go for full-colour graphics, photographs, simple lettering or your logo on a plain background. Panels come in a range of thicknesses and can be made in a variety of sizes, from small plaques to large fascia signs.

Supply only

We make your sign and supply it ready to fit. Installation is not included, so you or your own fitter will put it up. Let us know how and where it’s going to be mounted when you order, and we can talk through the options with you.
